The main points of note with this ‘theatre used’ stock daybill are single blu-tack marks to the corners and, fold line/border creasing and additional scattered handling creases throughout.

Stock daybill’s were used when official posters were not available. Most distributors had blank stock daybill’s for all the major production companies, genres or major stars, which they could use at very short notice to plug gaps in advertising. In many ways stock posters are much rarer than official mass produced studio material.
