Macdonald Carey
$45.00
Carey was an American actor, best known for his role as the patriarch Dr. Tom Horton on NBC’s soap opera Days of Our Lives. For almost three decades, he was the show’s central cast member.
He first made his career starring in various B-movies of the 1940’s, 1950’s and 1960’s (with a few A-picture exceptions like Hitchcock’s Shadow of a Doubt). He was known in many Hollywood circles as “King of the B’s”, sharing the throne with his “queen”, Lucille Ball.
Condition wise the main points of note with this rare late 40’s/early 50’s signed portrait are minor scattered creasing and marks (predominantly to the edge and corner areas – also on rear), the right edge has been cut unevenly and it has very slightly darkened as per usual from age.
Note – All the stills/portraits we sell are 100% original period issued pieces and not to be confused with the mass of modern ‘minty white’ reprints/reproductions sold on various auction sites. These have zero resale value and are often sold as genuine issue with fake signatures, so please beware.
