Two Mugs from Brooklyn
$60.00
Also released as ‘Two Knights from Brooklyn’, this film is a 1949 compilation from two films in the ‘McGuerin’ streamliners series made by Hal Roach in 1942; ‘The McGuerins from Brooklyn’ and ‘Taxi, Mister’ which accounts for players Lew Kelly, Clyde Fillmore and Tyler Brooke being in a 1949 movie.
Whether you’ve seen this movie or not, the surrounding artwork on this 70 years old lobby card is beautiful, with a humorous caricature of the two main stars as a baseball pitcher and batter. A must have for any collector of Bendix/Sawyer pieces or early baseball material in general!
The main points of note with this theatre used card are the scattered light creasing and marks (predominantly to the edge/border areas), a few scattered pin holes (a couple in the border and 4 or so within the central artwork – the most obvious being beside the rose on the blue suit), a small edge tear to the right side, tape/writing/marks on the rear and it has usual age darkening to the whiteness of the paper.
