Cat And The Fiddle, The (She Didn’t Say Yes)
$25.00
A romance between a struggling composer and an American singer.
From the late 20’s to just after 2nd World War musicals were incredibly popular with theatre goers and like today where you are able to download the accompanying soundtrack to a movie, you were able to purchase the sheet music to play on your home piano for a good old fashioned family sing song.
More often than not sheet music covers would feature the stars of the movie, along with unique artwork unseen on the theatrical posters, therefore in their own right they make lovely display pieces once framed. Many of these Australian printed sheets also have artwork that differs greatly from its US or UK counterparts and without doubt they were also produced in far less quantities, making them far rarer, as is the case with this example.
The main points of note with this one are edge/corner creasing, minor scuffs, scattered marks, along with the usual slight age darkening and an addition of a ‘complimentary’ stamp. In all a great looking piece featuring a great shot of the main stars.
